BIOGRAPHY
Shaun Peknic is a theatre director, dramaturg, and producer based in New York City. His work is best known for its visually stunning design and stories that explore queer identity, family trauma, and the subconscious.
Shaun was the Associate/Resident Director for Once the Musical (Broadway, National Tours, West End, Toronto, Dublin; director John Tiffany). As the Lee Strasberg Directing Fellow, he helped to commission and develop Crystal Skillman’s Pulp Vérité. Shaun directed Bistro Award-winning alt-cabaret artist Salty Brine in a sold out run of I’m A Lot Like You for the performer's cabaret-theater hybrid The Living Record Collection. The show, a Time Out New York "Critics' Pick", was a mash-up of Weezer's Pinkerton and Puccini's Madame Butterfly. |
